As part of our in-house design service, we can source all fixtures, fittings and furnishings. These include commissioning bespoke furniture and upholstery, if requested. Plus, we work closely with a removals and storage business and an exceptionally high-quality cleaning company.
Kettles, carpets, curtains, fridge freezers, tables and chairs? Everything I need for the bathroom? The bedrooms? Yes. If you’d like us to.
Meet the Directors
Chartwell brings together two of the best in the business: Aaron Humber and Mark Hillman. They each offer unique skills and experience, yet their work is highly complementary. Put simply, they share the precious values of authenticity and honesty. Also, a forensic attention to detail.
Your construction project is now in safe hands.
Aaron Humber
Aaron brings outstanding creative and design skills to Chartwell. An architectural technologist with several years’ experience, he works with private clients on higher-end residential projects in and around Sussex.
Aaron will create designs that focus on innovation and functionality. Architectural drawings that work in real life. We call it “buildability”. And that, as much as possible, champion sustainability and longevity while meeting strict regulatory, statutory, and legal requirements.
Aaron is a member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (Suzanne, link please) and the Association of Project Safety (link please).
With his experience in home staging, he’s also a talented interior designer with a stylish appreciation of fabrics, colours and textures.

Mark Hillman
Mark has extensive knowledge and experience in the construction sector, with trades experience helping to lay the foundations of his know-how in building.
It’s worth noting that he wasn’t always in this industry; Mark’s early-career tenure at Mercedes – first as a technician and then in management – has given him a very strong understanding of what high-end customer service looks and feels like. For example, how to manage expectations, problem-solve and communicate clearly.
Mark knows everything there is to know about construction; what will work, and what may not be viable. His engagement at your project’s early stages is both essential and highly beneficial.
Where others see problems, he sees solutions, and he’s an expert at heading issues off at the pass to ensure your design and build project goes as smoothly as possible.
Mark Hillman is a member of the Federation of Master Builders.
