Here’s how the design process works:

We’ll arrange a measured building survey to produce an accurate, scaled map of your property and/or land. This is specialist work, carried out only after a contractual agreement and payment of a deposit.

Concept Design:

Drawings and plans that start to come to life; early design ideas and layouts:

  • Strategic engineering requirements
  • Cost implications
  • Project strategies
  • Outline specifications

Also, material selection and a design programme. Here’s where we consider in detail any planning application requirements and building regulations. And, where ideas get robustly tested against buildability.

As we progress, Chartwell will develop and refine the concept design to ensure we meet our promises. And, with your agreement, help fulfil your dreams

Technical Design:

A Smooth Transition from Design into Build

All the information needed to manufacture and construct your project.

This phase turns to planning, building regulations, and structural coordination. And, detailed construction drawings.

There will already have been extensive collaboration between the design and build elements in our business. Each side knows what’s happening. Everyone’s clear, and we’re all in agreement. This technical design phase moves into launch; your project is now as near as possible to being construction-ready.

And now, the same company that developed your design will deliver the build.
